Temerloh Collection Event – 09.04.2021 - 23.04.2021
A two-week exhibition, Bahkolektion organised a showcase of re-imagined works damaged during 2014 floods in Temerloh, by Mastercarver Adiguru Abdul Muhaimin Hasbollah. It was curated by Muhamad Razif Nasruddin and co-curator, Sharina Shahrin, as an idea to breathe new energy into the works, once considered as damaged goods.
Hosted by Rumah Lukis, the private art gallery was an amazing fit to the 11 collections that was showcased during the two-week event.
With support from MTIB and its subsidiary, CWSB, the event was attended by art critics, collectors, academicians and art enthusiasts.

A series of wood carving sculptures by Azizul and Anuar from Langkawi. Trained in Denpasar, Bali (1993), both artists were then commissioned to create an identity for Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi, inspired by the natural surrounding of the island itself.
This collection represents progression in their 27 years working as wood carving artisans. Using wooden species such as Balau, Jati, Cempa, Keruing and Cengal, each work is made as an original piece of its own.
